Lexa and Clarke lead a diplomatic mission to the mysterious Trishanakru.
The trouble is Clarke is distracting, Lexa is very very gay, Raven is a
natural wonder, their hosts won’t stop partying, and the forest is kind
of psychedelic.
The Glowing Forest comes alive in this splendid little piece, as we spend time amongst the merry locals and Clarke and Lexa manage to find some time for themselves.
If you need a little escape, try this trip into the Glowing Forest. You will be very glad you did.

I needed a break from writing angst and my hand slipped. I have created a shamelessly self indulgent canon Clexa AU, with plenty of gratuitous worldbuilding, and eventual smut. This fic was originally inspired by the ‘accidental stimulation’ prompt for Clexa Week 2018. Although it’s incredibly late, I hope it’s still alright to tag it as such.

Please do read and share LS’s lovely and loving story: there’s some delightful world building within the Glowing Forest, character-building within Clarke and Lexa’s complex but beautiful relationship and, yes, the Smut (the really well-written kind).
“I’m nearly done my beers, so
we’re on the same page.”
“Do you like to dance? You’re
pretty nimble out there on the water.”
Lexa chokes on her last sip.
“Dance?”
“Yeah, like move your feet to
the rhythm of the music? Maybe swing your hips, though I doubt you have those
kinds of moves. Has the dancing fad not made it out here to Miller’s Island
yet?”
“It hasn’t made it into my
body. I can’t.”
“No more can’ts and won’ts
and don’ts. This won’t hurt you.” Clarke shuffles to the radio and turns on a
soft jazz station.
“Come on,” Clarke says. She
leans over Lexa and pulls the empty bottle from her hand, placing it on the
table. She can feel Lexa’s eyes all over her as she leans and she’s grateful
for the top she picked out tonight. Her hands extended to pull Lexa from the
couch and by the time Lexa’s standing over her, eyes and lips just a few inches
away, she’s lost her smile and whispers, “I’ll teach you.”

Moodboard inspired by @liminalsmith’s post-apocalyptic tale A Place To Be Born.
“Are you laughing at me?” Clarke asks, full of mock offence. “I…oh my God. You are laughing at me. You are quite strange, Lexa Woods.”
“Likewise, Clarke.” Lexa shakes her head, stares out the window, then back at Clarke. Her voice is soft when she asks, “What are you so eager to sell your soul for?”
Clarke grips the wheel, bites the inside of her lip till she tastes blood. “You can’t sell something you don’t have.”
No one took much notice of Lexa Woods as a scrawny little upstart, but flash forward a few years and she’s got a real shot at a Wimbledon Title. But when a recurring injury flares up before the Championships begin, she’s forced to seek treatment. What she wasn’t counting on when she walked into the clinic that day was for a sassy blonde physio to turn her carefully ordered world upside down…
Clarke Griffin is a marine biologist looking to get in some research time before returning to university – a last minute charter for a diving expedition will bring her into close quarters with the boat’s salty but attractive owner.
