In a series of tweets on Sunday, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo condemned a black feminist festival planned for July.
The three-day festival, she said, is discriminatory because it is “forbidden to white people,” the Associated Pressreported.
The Nyansapo Festival, slated for July 28 to 30, aims to “put the accent on how our resistance as an Afro-feminist movement is organized.
The festival is organized into distinct spaces: 80% of the venue is reserved for black women only, another section is open to black people of any gender and the third section is open to all.
“We aim to build long-term strategies and solidarities, and that is why it is important to meet, to share so we can keep fighting,” its website states. Read more (5/30/17)
@spencerjamesmith SENT ME THIS??? IS THIS THE MANGO THAT WENT MISSING???? WHATS GOING ON
WHY IS THIS IN MELBOURNE WHAT???????
??? HOW DID A GIANT MANGO GET FROM QUEENSLAND TO MELBOURNE?? IT’S LIKE 10 METRES TALL (32 feet) & THE DISTANCE FROM WHERE IT WAS TO HERE IS OVER 1,500 KILOMETRES (930 Miles)
Radiation is coming. Obviously, the crew, Clarke, Bellamy, Raven, Abby, Cain, Jaha, EVERYONE, do not want to settle for a solution that only saves 100 people. That’s insanity. That is absolute last ditch effort, final resort, drastic kind of stuff.
Now we found out in 4×03 that night bloods are pretty much immune to radiation. It’s in there genes. I’m sure when Beca (prime heda, whatever you want to call her) modified herself to be able to take the flame, she probably became pretty radiation resistant (I don’t know if that was intentional, but it happened). Luna got radiation sickness and recovered.
That’s the new solution. Make everyone night bloods.
The survivors won’t have to be locked up in the arc. They won’t have to pick and choose who lives and who dies if everyone is immune to radiation.
Now my main point:
If everyone is night blooded, that means, hypothetically, everyone will be able to take the flame. Now I know a lot of people would love to see commander Clarke or Raven, but consider this:
Commander Bellamy.
Now I know this is flawed; the grounders don’t trust Bellamy – they don’t trust a lot of the Sky people. And how would Arcadia feel about one of their own essentially turning into the leader of their biggest threat since day one? But when the apocalypse is coming, alliances are paramount, and you’re more likely to survive together than alone, well, traditions tend to change.
But imagine it. Bellamy with the flame, able to essentially talk to all the commanders from the past. Including Lexa.
The ship war would be dead. Lexa and Bellamy would be one and the same. Imagine Lexa giving Bellamy relationship advise, telling him how to flirt with Clarke, how she likes to be touched. Picture Bell waking up from a dream with Clarke by his side. “Lexa says you look nice today.” And totally agreeing. Bell being happy he’s got someone who understands just how much he loves Clarke. Clarke feeling twice as loved. Bellamy fighting like Lexa did with a sword and Clarke melting because she knows it’s her. It’s him. It’s the two people she’s loved the most in the world, together.
All I’m saying is, Commander Bellamy.
