rich people paid 100k to go to trump’s 1 year anniversary party and he’s not gonna even be there because he has to stay in DC to deal with the government shutdown

some rich people even paid 250k to sit at the same dinner table as trump………

this is like dashcon but for the super rich power elites I’m screaming

this is like fyre festival but

oh so much better

I am cackling now

They had to eat caviar from plastic spoons – quelle horreur!

Even more, it confuses the timeline so there is no way of seeing your dash as anything but out-of-order tweeting.

Now Tumblr is doing the same.

Who is designing net gen social media? Making it an opt-out feature that really doesn’t address the fact that if users (who aren’t educated about it or simply don’t care) do not opt out, they get to see all of our ‘likes’ whether we intend them to or not.  ‘Liking’ something on social media should not be an open invitation for everyone – but Twitter and Tumblr are designing their product for advertisers now, not users.

Like Facebook, we are the product being sold.

Full offense, but if your coping mechanism involves hurting others, or other people are hurt as a result of your coping, then it is in fact a shitty coping mechanism that you need to get rid of, and the people you hurt have every right to be angry with you and call you a shitty person.

Clake, before the fight, in the toilet, probably: Oh my god Lexa is going to be killed. I have to watch.

Clarke, at the fight: I hope she doesn’t get mutilated or anything. Gored, maybe. That wouldn’t be too bad. I’m sure I could fix that. Maybe.

Lexa: I’m glad you came.

Clarke: Me too.

BLACK WOMEN DID IT FIRST

I was there.  I got on an overpacked bus from Charlotte, only got 3 hours sleep on the floor of a crowded hotel room only to barely wash my ass or eat.  Took a way too crowded train to this spot so that I could be enveloped in the embrace of Black Love and Sisterhood.

The city had barricaded the steps of the museum off until a group of brothers was like “Fuck that!” and moved the barricades so that we could have a place to sit and rest.

I heard today that a family friend’s daughter, in her 20s, just died of the flu.

This seems like such an unjust obscenity in these days – I hope everyone is taking care of themselves.

– Wash your hands

Get your flu jab

– Take your vitamins

– Wash your hands

– If you’re around young children, encourage them to wash their hands, use hankies, cover their faces when coughing, sneezing, etc – and wash their hands.

Keep covered. Stay out of the rain if you can. Take your meds.

Seems like silly things to remind ourselves, but we forget so easily.

Be well.
