Is it ok to ask more ?s about the story? the flashbacks are jarring but i get they play into the main story so does jake’s watch play a big part in this? finn sees a gear inside of it is that lexa’s gear?? why does he have it?? does Clarke know what it is? I don’t think you’ll do it but please dont let there be flarke in this! I vote for smut too.

The gear inside Jake’s watch does play a part in this, but it doesn’t belong to Lexa and Clarke isn’t aware of its significance just now.

No, no ‘Flarke.’  I hope it’s pretty clear he’s got an ulterior motive and works with some questionable people.

Another vote for the smut. Noted.   Thanks for reading. 🙂

maybe the polls make the fans feel good? idk shouldnt be a big deal

They shouldn’t be a big deal, no, they could be fun – but it’s the winning that feels good, not the poll itself. The fight for dominance divides, creates clashes where there need be none.  It becomes a group ego experience and how is that helpful?

Polls are also temporary.  If you hang on to that kind of ‘fame’ you may find it was a bit on the shallow side (not that polls don’t have their place in raising awareness, bringing attention to something, etc).

Fighting to create long-lasting change in a sexist, homophobic and racist industry?  THAT should feel amazing.  Would love to see all these fans uniting to do what started happening last year.   Refuse to take their bait.  Demand better.

whuts all the poll stuff? you dont poll

The ‘poll stuff’ is media companies, looking for clickbait, create popularity polls that pit popular ‘ships’ against one another and create unreal levels of cattiness amongst fandoms.  Considering how many of these ships are canon or ‘fanon’ f/f or m/m relationships, it’s arguable they are queerbait as well.  There is no real prize, nothing but the satisfaction of making (young) people quibble and quarrel over trivia while they rake in the cash.

This time around, three f/f fandoms decided to support one another when it looked like there might be cheating.  I support them working together, but wish they’d ignore these ‘polls’ and do something that actually pushes the industry to make changes in its discriminatory practices in minority writing/representation.
