what’s going on?

The HBO showrunners from Game of Thrones recently announced they are developing a show called “Confederate” based around the idea “What if the south (the slave owners) won the civil war so slavery was still legal?”

Needless to say, people are NOT happy that they’re basically giving all the klan-loving, racist, confederate-flag-waving idiots a show to jerk themselves off to. The plan is to tweet Sunday night while Game of Thrones airs to make sure the showrunners know that their idea is bullshit and should never see the light of day. The planned hashtag to be used is #NoConfederate. There’s a couple articles up on Buzzfeed and the like from today.

havent heard of it. i dont have cable nor i watch from antenna but the hell are they thinking?

this year and the last seems like to be so much of a mess. that show gonna be a whole lot of problems.

thank you for answering!

No problem. I figure the more people who know the better!

Until I saw that tweet I hadn’t really and now I’m just… o.O

@bigunknownkingdom

I am in!! #noconfederate

If only all audiences would stand up like this.

Might be some better telly out there.

Might be a better world.

i cannot fucking believe i never realized this

So as a division officer to nearly 60 sailors over 3 years. I asked every single one. “What made you join the Navy?” Here is the breakdown.
80% – To pay for college
10% – To get out of a bad family situation
5% – Family Tradition
5% – Because of 9/11.

… that explains a lot and now I’m nauseated.

History.

Keep the masses oppressed through hunger, limited access to education – and you’ve got slaves and cannon fodder for ages.

Keep making noise Clexakru (⊙‿⊙✿) #LexaSpinoff RT this TWEET

I hope you all know this isn’t Netflix, but a fan account.  This company manages fandom entertainments – it is not affiliated with Netflix.

Since The Grounders/Lexa are owned by The CW/J. Rothenberg, they aren’t likely to create a spinoff that they aren’t 100% a part of, nor create anything to suit a fandom that thoroughly humiliated them last year (over an issue they’ve never discussed or apologised for).

I wish everyone on this endeavour well – but so many people were hurt, are still hurting, mistrustful – if a spinoff happened it would, at The CW’s discretion – more likely be about the Grounder’s origins, not Lexa. It would be a benefit to those who hurt us. I hate seeing people led on and hurt even further.

Very good luck.

wait wait wait we’re gettin a side story of the main story before the main story is finished?? and its on a train?? tell me my babies are getting laid on that train might help me waiting for the main story to return imma desperate ho

I do have a little side trip to post this weekend, it is on a train and there might be intimacy involved.  😉

Please don’t be desperate, so many good tales out there.  I’ll be wrapping up some RL business soon and should be able to focus more fully on the story.  Thank you for reading and writing.  X

I never thought of Michelle Dockery for the Doctor! I looked up that film on Youtube and I think you’r e right she would have been realy cool in the part. DA probably made her a little too famous? I’d like to see her inthe part at some point so I hope that happens. You might laugh but I think Keira Knightly could pull it off too. Whats something you hope to see happen with the new Doctor?

I’m not laughing, I think KK probably could do it, but, again, just too famous at this point (but who knows).  I think Sophie Okonedo would be brilliant – though she has been in Who before (Liz X), it isn’t a write-off.

I hope the new Doctor gets to visit some old companions (from the classic era) – we’ve done all the classic baddies, it’s time to visit old friends.  I’d also like to see Romana return – in the series she was left in E-space, but it’d be interesting to see how she might have made her way back.

On the same theme, I do hope Capaldi gets to see Susan at Christmas.
