Oh that. I think JGM is very careful in what he says, how he words things and his wording was very specific about Tapert, wasn’t it? I don’t know if it was salt or humour or both, but I’ve a feeling JGM’s version isn’t happening – or at least not anytime soon.
Could be wrong – would be happy to be wrong. I still think WW is making it difficult for them to get a schedule (and, who knows, maybe the campaign for a renewal vs. reboot is having an impact?).
Do you mean a scene where Indra is actually in Skaikru’s faces over the massacre that she witnessed and was ‘allowed’ to survive? The one Bellamy took part in? But she’s pals with Kane (for some reason) and totally lost her teeth in series 3 and yes, they missed the boat with Indra pretty hard. I wouldn’t mind a scene where we hear/see her thoughts on all that has happened. Her anger: how her world had a purpose and a point of view that is now finished. All the losses since Skaikru landed. Pike’s been dealt with, but what about Bellamy? Confronting him. If anyone should be ‘in charge’ of his penance, it’s her (not that the show will go there now). Perhaps another point of view on Mt. Weather and Lexa’s decision. Oh, you’ve got me on a tangent now, hang on.
What if we had a scene, in the tower, Kane or Clarke finds Indra, alone – she has Lexa’s sword, wondering what to do with it – and it all spills out. Indra, fierce, wise, hurt beyond imagining – gazing out at Polis, at what once was, what could have been and the grief just rips out of her. Her hopes in Lexa, in the coalition. Her hatred of the Mountain. What it took from her. What if we learn she had a child, lost to that horror show? How Skaikru upended everything, her Commander would not have wavered – but Clarke. But she had faith. She kept faith. She knew, wounded in that tent after the massacre, that Lexa stood down for Clarke. She didn’t hate her for it, but she knew Lexa was dead. She knew it was just a matter of time. Skaikru signaled the end of her world, her way of life.
She is bitter at the memories of Mt. Weather – and here, we could have a total, awful twist on what we thought we knew. Clarke believed Lexa betrayed her, but what if she didn’t? What if Indra could shed light on what the ‘deal’ really was? What if Emerson, in front of Lexa and her warriors, mocked them, telling them their alliance with Skaikru was poison, that Skaikru was working with Mt. Weather to trap Lexa and her army there? How Lexa had to take the ‘deal’ before her warriors overran Skaikru in rage, thinking *they* had been betrayed? She had to get her army out of there, but couldn’t betray the real reason to Clarke – just in case (not that she believed it). More grief, yes, but the idea that Lexa would walk away from her mandate to take down the mountain for so slight a deal, it needs to be clarified.
And now what does she have? Lexa’s sword, the memory of the coalition and once-better days, hopeful days. It’s over now. Now she has to follow Skaikru. She knows it is what Lexa would want, for her to protect Clarke and their people. She knows, but she feels the losses too deeply, too strangely. She does not expect to see how it all turns out. Octavia is a tiny compensation for all she has given. She expects to follow Lexa and Gustus and Anya soon. She will do what she can, as she has always done. Rally one last time. But she has no hope for herself. She keeps none.
Think I just kicked myself.

I’m not sure I understand your question so let me know if this response is off for you – I think the only thing worth seeing at this point, if you’re a Clexa fan and want some kind of resolution – is a moment where, possibly toward the end or at the end of the season, Clarke revisits Lexa’s room in the tower and finds the book Lexa had been reading. It might be interesting or insightful to know what the book was (something that might underscore her character – or be a charming counterpoint – if she was reading Pride and Prejudice, for example. Lexa has Darcyesque characteristics, Darcy and Lizzy’s relationship struggles through misunderstandings, miscommunication, not unlike Clarke and Lexa). Another option might be Le Morte D’Arthur (The Death of Arthur) – a classic telling of the Arthurian legend (Lexa also has Arthurian qualities – at least from a series 3 perspective). Her ‘fatalism’ and belief that ‘death is not the end’ in relief here – Arthur dies, but is taken to Avalon to rest until he is needed again (Lexa returned in the series 3 finale when Clarke needed her).
And it would be heartbreaking, but full circle-ish if she found the drawings that she made, including the one (perhaps more) of Lexa, sketches of the Nightbloods, Polis itself. A scene like that would carry strong emotional resonance, underline Clarke’s grief and loss and be the only physical proof of her time there, of their relationship. It would even have been fitting if Abby had found these things and asked about them.
Even more fitting if these are kept safe somewhere, with a coda set in the far future where these items are found and wondered over.

I didn’t support the ‘campaign’ for her return because I’m not one to ask my abuser for anything. I don’t want to see anything I love in the hands of my abuser. I know my abuser will not respect the things I love and will merely use them to mess with me further. If Lexa is mentioned in the show, it will be merely to namedrop, not to rebuild, to, perhaps, torture Clarke even more, not rebuild.
I am a fan of Lexa which is exactly why I don’t want to *see* her on this show anymore.
The only caveat I could bring is, if the CW had been smart, they would have replaced Jroth as showrunner and if that new showrunner had shown empathy and understanding towards the audience, and a willingness to rebuild the show in a different direction, to fix the too-many-to-name plot holes and inconsistencies, and show respect for the damage done – I could have been behind any support for the respectful return of her character.
As it is, The CW/Jroth have shown they basically want the ‘conversation’ around Lexa to disappear. It was pointed out some time ago ADC has been prevented from attending any 1oo-related event (may very well have been pushed away from attending DDC) – as she is Lexa’s ‘face’ – and very popular, and her attendance automatically brings up the ‘discourse’ that they do not want. They’ll capitalise on the character’s popularity and make a small mint through Funko, but they’re not interested in apologising or behaving the way a responsible adult would, after having harmed so many young people.
If you’re a fan of Lexa, recognise neither Rothenberg nor his studio respect you. They want you to go away.
Lexa belongs with her fans now. I’m happy that she stays there.
